Runjan Chetty is currently the Director of Surgical Pathology of the Department of Pathology at University Health Network.  In addition he is the Residency training program Director and Professor of Pathology at the University of Toronto, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology.  He was previously Professor and Head of Pathology at the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, University of Natal, South Africa.

He did a DPhil at the University of Oxford and have also worked in Australia. His medical training was done at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MB BCh) and he holds the following postgraduate qualifications: FFPath (South Africa), FRCPA (Australasia), FRCPath (UK), FRCPC (Canada), FCAP (US), FFPath (Ireland).  His clinical work is in gastrointestinal and pancreatic pathology and my research is in cancers of the pancreas and GI tracts.  Dr Chetty is currently the Editor of the Journal of Clinical Pathology and serves on the editorial board of several Pathology journals.
